In over my head - Building Blocks Tuesday

A tad late today.  If you can believe it, the cable guy just left and after over a week of living in the new house, we finally have wifi!  Normally, I am the type of person that doesn't mind being unplugged for a while, but I must admit that it made it difficult to get things done in the new house without being able to "google it" readily.

So yes, we are IN the new house.  However, I am still unpacking boxes.  Unpacked boxes seem to multiply when my back is turned.  I am wondering if I will ever finish.  Oddly enough, despite the fact that this house is bigger than our last, I am quickly running out of places to put stuff.  I think while we gained square footage, we lost some valuable and practical storage space.   Oh well, it will all find a home eventually.

I have not sewn since before our vacation, and I am eager to get back to it.  I have several bee blocks that are late (Jenni's and Katie's), and I don't like being "that person".  This was the state of my studio a few days ago.

New studio?

It has not progressed much since then, although I did find my machine and cutting mat yesterday.  So if you will forgive me, I will share a pic of a new NY Beauty Circle of Geese that I started just before leaving for vacation.

What blocks have you working on?  Please share by linking up your fabulous blocks.  You put a lot of hard work into them - show them off!

Normally this free linky is open the first Monday of the month, when it is reposted every Tuesday until a new month starts.  However, due to my crazy schedule this summer, this linky will remain open until the end of July, with a new linky starting the beginning of August (next week).  So join in this week, and come back next for a new linky!

Rules:

1) Please link up only to the page in your blog showing your wonderful blocks, not just the blog homepage.  Flickr and Instagram pictures are also OK.
2) Make sure to put your blog name as the description so people know where they are going or the name of your block!
3) Please grab my button and post it in your blog post or sidebar.
4) Visit other linky participants!

It is also really nice to link back to the site you linked up to.  If you are linking from one of my guest hosts, please link back to them in some way.  It's just a nice thing to do!

Thanks for reading,

Jen

PS. I just want to thank all the guest hosts this summer again.  You all did an amazing job and it was so much fun to bounce around to your blogs.  Thanks again and again!

  1. moving, every time I do it I say never again! Have been here 8 years, the longest in a house apart from one other place which was 12 years, blame Dad he was a vicar so we moved around a lot as a child. Cannot add anything as have been neglectful with my own blog recently

  2. I don't envy you. I dread to think what mess I would be in if I had to move. I'm sure your Bee buddies will understand why you are a bit late with their blocks

  4. I don't envy you Jen, it is easy to see why moving house is one of the most stressful things in life! Hope you are soon unpacked and back to normal.

I had to shut off comments for a long time because I was just getting spammed. I'm going to try moderation for a while and see if that helps. Please leave me a comment.
